Slouchy beanie

Happy Monday readers!

I know that winter is over, here in Australia, but I still felt like I needed a new beanie. You know, for those cold, windy mornings or for when I actually make it to the pool for my aqua gym class 🙂

As always, I turned to Pinterest for ideas and I found this pattern for a puff stitch slouch beanie. I used Lion brand Canyon yarn and it worked out really quickly. I ended up doing puffs with 4 stitched instead of 3 and 20 rows of the puff stitch, and it was enough for my head size.

The beanie ended up really thick, which is great because it keeps my ears extra warm 🙂

My favourite crochet jumper

Happy Wednesday readers!

I have finally finished the body of the crochet jumper. I’ve had some issues to get there, somehow I managed to decrease the number of stitches and it felt really tight. I was already pretty far gone so I frogged a bunch of it but not all and I’m actually pretty happy with it, as it is body hugging but not too tight.

I still need to do the sleeves, and then to finish the trims with my contrast colour. Good thing I still have 30 hours of plane to finish it! Wish me luck 🙂

A very busy day

Hello crafters!

Oops I’m late for my usual Wednesday post, but I promise I have a good reason. My puppy has been sick 😦 

He got a grass seed stuck in his gum, and he developed a big sore on his face a a result 😦 but he got surgery yesterday so he is all good now thank god! 

Now back to craft, I have a FO to show!

My second Lion Brands Canyon Shrug, done with love for my mum 🙂 

I also have a new cross stitch WIP, monthly designs from the snowflower diaries. 

I’ve just started on January 🙂

Canyon Shrug

Hello crafters! 

I have been quite terrible this week with holding blogging schedules. Dylan and I got married last weekend (yay us!) and we had a lot of people from my family stay with us for the occasion. This week was all about finally getting a proper rest and and re-adjusting to being the two of us at home. 

While everyone was over though, I finished my Lion Brand Canyon Shrug and I even got more orders from my family (to finish before we get to Europe in a few months).

I really like how cosy this shrug is and it actually keeps my neck very warm as well. I am making one in blue for mum and one in green for nana! Better get that crochet going!
