Hand Quilt Along – 22/12/19

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start by wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a great new year for 2020! This year has been trying as I lost my grandad and my great-uncle and my grandma is also facing health issues. But 2019 has also brought great joy with watching Clark grow into the cutest little boy and meeting new friends.

Now, onto the quilt along! I have actually been working on my English paper piecing quilt again and it is getting so close to the end!

As you may be able to see, I only have a little bit on the side left to quilt and then I will be cutting the excess away and sewing the border on, yay!

Hand Quilt Along – 14/04/19

Hello everyone!

It is time again for an update on my EPP. I have done quite a lot of quilting in 3 weeks and I think it is just about time as it’s starting to get cold here and I’m sure baby Clark could do with a warmer blanket.

I have decided to quilt around each “heart” shape and I love how it looks. I’ve taken my progress picture from the back so that you can see the quilting better.

Last time

I’ve probably already quilted about 1/4 so hopefully this won’t take too much longer before I can cut it back to size and bind it.

Hand Quilt Along – 24/03/19

Hello everyone!

I did it! My EPP quilt top is finished! I’m feeling very proud of this accomplishment and I’ve even started quilting it (sorry I didn’t take any pictures of the start of the quilting but I will for next time).

I had lots of fun choosing the colour of the thread for the quilting and went with a yellow, as I think it will compliment the colours I have on the top quite well. It just started to get colder here as well so it’s nice to sit under the quilt and work on it in the evenings. I’m sorry that I still haven’t been back to regular posting but it would seem that life with a 6 months old is no calmer than life with a newborn!

I’m a bit late again with my hand quilt along post but better late than never right? I was back at work on Monday and had to make sure everything was ready for Clark and I!

Hello readers!

It seems that I’ve been caught up in life again and forgot all about my blog but at least I’ve made some progress on my EPP! If in the mean time you are interested in my other projects on the go, I’ve been posting a couple pictures on my instagram account (my username is EmmaCraftsDesign).

Mr Clark has been a handful too, we’ve been busy going to the pool, to the gym and visiting his little friends and he is loving life!

Wow I can’t believe I actually haven’t blogged in 3 weeks. Time has just flown by and my hands have been very full with Mr Clark. I haven’t done much work on my EPP over the last few weeks (or much craft at all) but I guess that was to be expected with a newborn!

I’m happy to report I have done some sewing despite the love overload and interrupted nights I’m currently receiving from baby Clark. Which means that his EPP blanket top is getting closer and closer from being finished.

Hand Quilt Along – 16/09/18

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you have been well, I have been tired but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I will be getting induced this week if baby doesn’t decide to come out on his own and it’s a huge relief as I’m just feeling so so drained. I am happy with the progress I’ve made on my EPP this time, it will not be finished in time for baby but that’s okay, I’m still enjoying the slow stitching and that is what matters. Plus, it’s actually quite big so he will still get plenty of use from it.

It is getting closer and closer and I still love the organised randomness of the colours and patterns. I think I might be done with the top in 2-3 updates before I start the quilting and I can’t wait!

Hand Quilt Along – 26/08/18

Hello everyone!

I’m a bit late to share my progress on my EPP. There is not as much as I would have liked but the last few weeks have been very busy with friends and family visiting us so my normal crafting time has been somewhat disturbed.

Here is my progress for this time.

I can almost see the end but it’s been more and more uncomfortable for me to sit for long periods of time, the reason being that baby has decided that he would have a growth spurt and is now measuring 4 weeks ahead of schedule. He has been pushing on my sciatic nerve a lot so I’m struggling finding a good position and I have to lay down most of the time (which isn’t very practical to sew).

Anyway, I hope you made more progress than me, next time I show you this baby might have been born, which is exciting! Don’t forget to check out all the beautiful work done by the others participating in the HQAL.

Hand Quilt Along – 15/07/18

Happy Monday!

I know I am a day late for our 3 weekly update but I had my baby shower yesterday and I wanted to wait until we got home to take a picture of my (little) progress, to keep it consistent. It seems I can’t keep up with blogging when I’m not home, probably because I don’t have my usual photo set up, and because I was also so busy with meeting up with friends and catching up with family.

From the picture, it looks like I have done nothing, but I have in fact cut a lot of fabric and done two more rows that I have not yet attached to the main body (hence why you cannot see it on this picture). I am sure that it will show more next time we update! I have also been rather busy making two pairs of socks, which I will show you on Friday, and working on my Orbit the dragon (with some extra drama, otherwise where is the fun?). I hope you have been well, I will catch up on all your wonderful work this week 😊
