February goals review

Hello readers! 

It is the end of the month, and I can’t believe how fast it went.

I’m pleased to say that I have finished most of my goals for the month!   

I haven’t quite finished to read the fellowship of the ring but I’ll get that done tonight! My only non done goal is for work, I’ve had some delays so hopefully I can get that done in March. 

Now, onto the avatar afghan! I’ve decided not to do a border for now cause I haven’t quite made up my mind on what kind of border I want. But other than that it is finished! 

   
And these are my steps for the February SAL from Helene  

 Also I’ve decided to go with Sadie for my little doll, she is still missing a leg but I hope to get that done this week   

And that’s it for my February! Bring it on March!

Poké-alphabet week 18

Hi all! 

I was pretty sick yesterday, which means I stayed at home and had the day crafting! The only issue is that I was too tired to focus on cross stitching so I actually only finished the 18th letter now!

 
R is for Relicanth! Probably one of my favourite Pokemon, I would always have him on my team if I could! I really like how he turned up 🙂

And with him the 3rd row is finished! 

   I also baked some Japanese rice cakes (daifuku) and I finally achieved the perfect consistency. Just the right amount of chewy and not sticky. Event got compliments from my Japanese colleague, although she said I managed to bring a French twist to them (not sure how but I’ll take the compliments!) oh and the inside is a dark chocolate truffle! Yum yum!

Last WIP Wednesday of the month

Hello lovely people!

There must be a nasty bug going around, or I’m just really tired, but I got a bad cold. I normally never get sick, I think this is the first time I’m properly sick in at least 3 years. Still needed to get to work today so boohoo 😦 maybe tomorrow I can stay home and rest. 

I’ve finished earth on my avatar afghan! Still planning on finishing it by the end of the month so I really need to get going!  

Still not sure what I’ll do for the border. Any suggestion? 

I’ve done more squares as well for my #CraftyCAL, this time I’ve played with a lacy style which gave me bigger squares. I really like them!  

I don’t really know where I’m going with this but I enjoy making all different squares in different colours 🙂

Long time no see!

Hi guys! 

I don’t know if you remember my amigurumi doll, but it got very neglected over the Christmas period/ beginning of the year. I’m aiming to finish most of my wips before starting new projects, and I saw her sitting all alone in her WIP basket so I decided to finish her body at least and I can get working on a cute dress later on during the year.  
The hair has been taking FOREVER! So she still had a bald patch but hopefully it will get covered by the end of the week! 

 
I wanted her to still be in a happy mood so I’ve made her first accessory, a headband with a bow. Looks like it worked, she gave me her most beautiful smile!

Which reminds me, my doll still doesn’t have a name. Maybe you guys could give me suggestions and I’ll chose the one I like the most and make it official next Monday with her (hopefully) being finished! 😊

I need your help!

Hi guys!

The beginning of the week was pretty exciting! I talked to my dearest childhood friend and she has accepted to be one of my bridesmaid along with my best friend and future sister in law 🙂 

She also happens to be the mother of my goddaughter, so of course I’m so excited of seeing my little princess for the wedding! I’m planning on bringing her a lot of souvenirs from Australia but I would also like to crochet her a gift to make it extra special 🙂 she really likes dogs so I was thinking an amigurumi, and that’s why I need your help!

Does anyone know of/ sell a good pattern for an amigurumi doggy? I found some patterns I like on Etsy but if I can buy a pattern from one of you amazing readers it would be even better! 

On another note, I’ve finished air on my avatar afghan!  

 
And I’ve done more grannies for the #craftycal on CraftyAmino 🙂

Belated Valentine

Hi guys! I’m a bit late but I’d like to wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day! 

I’ve had a very fun day at the Gold Coast over the weekend, they had sand sculptures of Dreamworks characters and it was pretty sweet!   

  
There really were some amazing artists out there, and I’m not quite sure which was my favourite! Probably the penguins of Madagascar! 
I also got promoted to Pokemon master over the weekend 🙂  

And I have finally finished one of my very long due wips, a lace doily from one of my grandma’s old crochet book.  

And it’s perfect for my scented candles!  
   
Blocking was super important, it gave my doily it’s nice shape 🙂

Today on the Poké-alphabet, I present to you one of the most iconic Pokemon ever. The one that, after 17 seasons of travelling with Ash, still hasn’t reached his full potential! You’ve guessed it, this week’s Pokemon is none other than Pikachu!

I’ve been bad…

I promised myself that I wouldn’t start a new project until finished some of my WIP but today I gave in! 

I’ve joined a CAL group on CraftyAmino. The goal is to post on Wednesday granny squares to ultimately make an afghan 🙂 

This is what I’ve got so far   

I’ve decided that all my squares will be different and I will adjust sizes at the end when I sew everything together 🙂 if you want to join, we are aiming to finish by the end of March and the hashtag is #craftycal

We are going to the Gold Coast this weekend for Valentine’s Day so I also hooked a few hearts to spread the love, love bomb style! 

Do you guys have some fun crafts planned for V-day?

Bullet journal and project update

Hi guys! 

I’m pretty excited, I’ve finally reached the half way point for my avatar afghan!   

My goal is to finish it by the end of the month. Talking about goals, I just realise that I didn’t post a goal update for February and I didn’t show you my bullet journal and how it has grown!

I’ve resumed my online coding course and made a handy  guide to coding in processing J.   
I doodled a mandala that still needs colouring. 

 
I have a new goals list for February, including to list more cross stitch patterns in my new etsy shop! (It’s pretty bare at the moment but you can still check it out here – opening discount will be on soon ^^)

And I’ve ticked off movies on my “to watch” list 🙂
