WIP Wednesday – Spring shirt

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I hope you’ve all had a great week so far, I’ve been pretty good since last week one of my friends lent me her spinning wheel so I’ve been having fun with it πŸ™‚ I can’t remember if I told you but when I was over in Queensland I got gifted two beautiful bags of alpaca fleece and I’ve started spinning the dark fleece.

What I really want to show you today though is my current progress on a Purl Soho Spring shirt I’ve started a few weeks back. It’s an A-line sweater knit bottom up in the round (which I’ve never done before) and it’s been a bit boring so far but I’m sure it will get much faster once I divide for the back and front. I still have about 4 inches to go on the body so I’ve done most of it, yay!

I really love the colours I’ve chosen, they are nice and bright and will be perfect for spring πŸ™‚

What projects are you currently working on?

    • For sure! I do love hand knitted jumpers too, they are my favourite! I’ve decided I won’t be buying anymore mass made knit jumpers so I will definitely need to make a few for next winter as well

    • Thanks Jess you’re too nice πŸ™‚ I think I will show another photo when I separate the back and front for the bust, otherwise it will just be the same but a bit bigger πŸ˜‰

That looks like the beginning of a beautiful sweater. Spinning! What a good friend that is to loan you her wheel. I look forward to seeing the beautiful yarn you make from these.

    • Thank you, I’m so looking forward to wearing this sweater! and yes she is a great friend, it has been so fun to be able to get back to spinning after a month without it. I’ll be sad to see this wheel go but I’m so excited about receiving my new one soon!
