I’m happy to report I have done some sewing despite the love overload and interrupted nights I’m currently receiving from baby Clark. Which means that his EPP blanket top is getting closer and closer from being finished.

Hand Quilt Along – 16/09/18

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you have been well, I have been tired but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I will be getting induced this week if baby doesn’t decide to come out on his own and it’s a huge relief as I’m just feeling so so drained. I am happy with the progress I’ve made on my EPP this time, it will not be finished in time for baby but that’s okay, I’m still enjoying the slow stitching and that is what matters. Plus, it’s actually quite big so he will still get plenty of use from it.

It is getting closer and closer and I still love the organised randomness of the colours and patterns. I think I might be done with the top in 2-3 updates before I start the quilting and I can’t wait!

Hand Quilt Along – 26/08/18

Hello everyone!

I’m a bit late to share my progress on my EPP. There is not as much as I would have liked but the last few weeks have been very busy with friends and family visiting us so my normal crafting time has been somewhat disturbed.

Here is my progress for this time.

I can almost see the end but it’s been more and more uncomfortable for me to sit for long periods of time, the reason being that baby has decided that he would have a growth spurt and is now measuring 4 weeks ahead of schedule. He has been pushing on my sciatic nerve a lot so I’m struggling finding a good position and I have to lay down most of the time (which isn’t very practical to sew).

Anyway, I hope you made more progress than me, next time I show you this baby might have been born, which is exciting! Don’t forget to check out all the beautiful work done by the others participating in the HQAL.

Hand Quilt Along – 5/08/18

Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s that time of the month again when we share our progress on our hand quilt along. I’ve been working a lot on my EPP and I’m past half way, yay! I knew all that extra planning from last time would pay off. The top is now at full height as well, so it’s “just” a matter of filling in the space 🙂

Now, I’m hoping to get the better part of the quilt top done by next update, it might be a bit ambitious but I do have some spare time so fingers crossed!

Hand Quilt Along – 15/07/18

Happy Monday!

I know I am a day late for our 3 weekly update but I had my baby shower yesterday and I wanted to wait until we got home to take a picture of my (little) progress, to keep it consistent. It seems I can’t keep up with blogging when I’m not home, probably because I don’t have my usual photo set up, and because I was also so busy with meeting up with friends and catching up with family.

From the picture, it looks like I have done nothing, but I have in fact cut a lot of fabric and done two more rows that I have not yet attached to the main body (hence why you cannot see it on this picture). I am sure that it will show more next time we update! I have also been rather busy making two pairs of socks, which I will show you on Friday, and working on my Orbit the dragon (with some extra drama, otherwise where is the fun?). I hope you have been well, I will catch up on all your wonderful work this week 😊

As you can see, there is way more height on it now and I’ve filled a good part of the bottom right too. I think I will bring some of it with me up to Queensland in the next few weeks so that I can show you more progress for next time!

Hand Quilt Along – 3/06/18

Happy Sunday!

As usual, this is my 3-week update post on the Hand Quilt Along hosted by Kathy (link below). I’ve been working on my English paper piecing quilt and I have added quite a few motifs. I’m happy with the progress but I think I’ll need to work a bit more on it in the coming months otherwise it will never get finished by October! I think I’ll give myself until the middle of August to finish the quilt top and that would leave around 1 month and a half to quilt and bind the blanket (hopefully enough!)

Sorry about the weird colours on today’s picture, we’ve had a dreadful weather and I didn’t have much natural light but it still gives you an idea. I’m hoping to finish this half of the quilt top by next time, wish me luck!

Happy Sunday!

As I mentioned last time, there is no progress for me this time as I am away from home and didn’t get the chance to work on my EPP. I can now reveal however, that I intend on finishing my quilt by October and to use it for bub, which is why I used both pinks and blues in it! Here is what it looks like as a reminder. I can’t wait to get home next week and get working on it, I’ll need to up my pace if I want it finished in time! See you in three weeks for the next update.

I hope you’ve had a great week, I’m sorry I’ve been off blogging for a little while. Hubby and I are on holidays and we’ve just been enjoying seeing family and friends.

Today though is our scheduled 3 weekly quilt along post and I am sharing my progress on my EPP blanket. I’ve had quite a bit of progress since last time but I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to share anything next time because I’m away from home again for work. So this will have to do for the next time as well!

I hope you have all had a great week and weekend, here it had been good and I even have another day off tomorrow for Labour Day in Victoria. Yay!

I’ve made some more progress on my English paper piecing, and after some consideration and debate with the hubby, I’ve decided to add a couple more motifs to the width.
