November SAL with Helene

Happy Friday!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I participate in mystery SALs organised by Helene on her site Helene et Mahelia. I have actually had this finished for a while but didn’t get the time to show it to you with all the Christmas/New Years madness.

I’ve already signed up for the SALs next year but I need to finish the December design first (hopefully by the end of January). I seem to be a bit stitched out at the moment but I hope I get my motivation back soon 🙂

October SAL with Helene

Happy Monday!

Last months SAL was pretty long but it looks amazing. With winter on its way in Europe, where Helene is based, the October design seems perfect.

Now, onto November!

September SAL with Helene

Hello everyone!

I’ve caught up with the SALs! Yeah! Now I just need to stay motivated and keep going but it shouldn’t be too hard with all the beautiful designs she has in stock for us!

So here is September, we have been enjoying vines and very nice autumn colours.

Those grapes took me so long to outline but the final effect is gorgeous don’t you think?

August SAL with Helene

TGIF!

I don’t know about you but my week has been super super busy! I did manage to finish the August stitch along hosted by the wonderful Helene though.

I have good hope that I’ll manage to catch up with the SAL in October, as my husband will be away for a good part of the month, which means undistracted stitching time for me!

Now for an even busier weekend!

July SAL with Helene

Hello readers!

I know it is August but I’ve been really behind with my stitching in July, as we were on holidays, and I only just finished the July design from Helene et Mahelia

Those are part 1 to 9

Isn’t that so cute? It made me dream of summer during our very windy Australian winter.

July SAL with Helene

Hi guys,

Here are steps 1-6 for the July SAL. I’m late because I didn’t get any stitching done when I was in Europe (I forgot the first colour needed for the SAL!).

Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up this month.

June SAL with Helene

Happy Friday!

With another month comes another SAL with Helene. This month was very interesting and made us travel once more, to the Great Lakes this time, for a beautiful sunset.

For once, the actual finished design was a rectangle and the backstitch made it pop all the more.

That’s it for now! Hope you all have a smashing weekend 😉

May stitch along with Helene

Happy Friday crafters!

I know it is June, but I finished the May stitch along on Wednesday, so I guess I wasn’t too far off!

As always, Helene was the queen of mysteries, and it took me a good long while before figuring out what this month’s design was!

A flower vase? A rabbit? Finally, with step 9 I figured it out! A Russian doll! And how pretty is she?

Next month, Helene is making us travel again and I’ll try to double up my pace to get started on July ASAP 🙂

April SAL

Hello lovely readers!

I just realised that I didn’t share the April stitch along from Helene yet.

Here are my 6 steps. I will share the final back stitching with the rest of the designs later this year when I finish them together in a (hopefully) beautiful quilt 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Like mother, like daughter

Happy Friday crafters!

The project I want to share with you today is pretty special to me. Some of you may know this, but I am getting married soon, in 3 weeks to be precise.

I was looking for a cute way of customising our wedding photo album when I received an email notification for a post over at Hélène’s blog. Mahelia, her daughter, created her first cross stitch pattern. The theme? Romantic date. Super bright and fun! I got the immediate approval from Dylan and so I started stitching away!

I wanted a landscape finish to fit the album I had already covered in fabric, so I decided not to do the top of the pattern and I changed the colour of the car to blue (our car is blue). Added a little bit of text and Voila! Perfect photo album to keep all our precious memories 🙂 thank you so much Mahelia and Helene for your beautiful patterns!
