Happy Wednesday readers!
Like I said on Monday, I’ve already cast on another pair of socks. Those will be plain vanilla socks but will be worked slightly differently than what I’m used to. So far I have only made socks from the top down, but this time I’m doing them from the toes up and I’m also making two at the same time! For that, I’m using the pattern from Heidi Bears website, it’s really good and has great pictures to illustrate the instructions!
You may notice I’m using Aquagirl once again, those are the leftovers from the socks I made for my friend Tracy. I actually was showing the yarn to my mum over Skype and she absolutely loved the colours, I can’t really blame her, this colourway is amazing! Mum really likes short socks and I had enough yarn so I decided to make her a pair and gift them to her when I go back to visit my family in September 😊
I’ve finished the toes already and I’m working my way through the foot. I’ve really been liking this technique so far, it will be really cool to have finished both socks at the same time too!
In other news I received this beautiful bouquet of flowers today, isn’t my husband just so sweet? They look like little suns and they really did brighten my day ☀️
The table center is (still) not finished but it’s in good shape, I’ve done more than half of the light green now, so should only take a couple more days and I might have a finish on Friday at last!
Have a great end of the week
Hello lovely people!
One of my goals this year was to enter my first craft fair, and this is now done! Last Saturday was the entry day for the Brookfield show and I made a teapot cosy just for this fair. The theme of the competition was ‘Country’.
I’ve added a lot more flowers since I lasted showed this to you guys. I really like how it ended looking, although I don’t really like the look of the actual teapot.
My second entry for the show was my lace doily, the one I made from my nana’s old crochet magazine 🙂 Here are some pictures to refresh your memory
For entering the craft competition, we all got given a lovely booklet with lots of embroidery projects for all seasons. I’m definitely excited to try a few of those out!
Wish me luck for the competition! I’m finding out tomorrow 🙂
This week is a short one due to Easter and I’m extra glad about it! I may have set unrealistic goals for March (or I may have been a bit lazy this month ^^) but the fact is that I really need to get several of my crafting projects finished. I have done lots on my poke-alphabet already this week and I can’t wait to show you all I’ve done on Friday.
I have made really good progresses on my teapot cosie though, and I will enter it at the Brookfield show in May. I’m pretty excited and pretty nervous as well as this will be my first craft show 🙂
Without further ado, here it is!
crocheted some leaves that I attached to the cosie
some embroidered roses make for a nice bouquet
view from above, I still have a lot to do to cover the whole pot!
closer view of the pansies. And some extra leaves to add some green
I hope you guys like it and if you have suggestions for more flowers or if you know of a pattern you love, let me know 🙂
