The title says it all! I’ve finished my pineapple doily. Now I need to figure out how to pack it as it is a Christmas gift.
I’m pretty proud of myself, this is definitely the biggest doily I’ve ever made and it didn’t even take me that long (okay still a few weeks but that’s pretty good!)
What’s the thing you’re the most proud of making?
I’ve been making some great progress on this doily. I’m now up to row 19/30, so almost 2/3 of the way through.
That’s where I was at last time.
I have good hope I’m actually finishing this for Christmas 🙂
I’m sure I don’t need to remind you but Christmas is fast coming! Which means I really need to get cranking on those presents! We got our secret santas last week and I know the person I got would enjoy a handcrafted gift, so I’ve started on a new project (I need excuses for those right? 😊).
Recently I was gifted loads of crafty things from someone in my family in-law. There were so many cross stitch magazines and a few crochet books.
I’ve decided to go with the iconic pineapple doily.
That’s what it will hopefully look like when I’m finished 🙂
And that’s where I’m at for now. I’ve calculated that if I do one round per day I should be done by Christmas!
Just a few other projects on the go but I should manage!
How is your Christmas craft coming along?
Hello lovely people!
One of my goals this year was to enter my first craft fair, and this is now done! Last Saturday was the entry day for the Brookfield show and I made a teapot cosy just for this fair. The theme of the competition was ‘Country’.
I’ve added a lot more flowers since I lasted showed this to you guys. I really like how it ended looking, although I don’t really like the look of the actual teapot.
My second entry for the show was my lace doily, the one I made from my nana’s old crochet magazine 🙂 Here are some pictures to refresh your memory
For entering the craft competition, we all got given a lovely booklet with lots of embroidery projects for all seasons. I’m definitely excited to try a few of those out!
Wish me luck for the competition! I’m finding out tomorrow 🙂
Hi guys! I’m a bit late but I’d like to wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day!
I’ve had a very fun day at the Gold Coast over the weekend, they had sand sculptures of Dreamworks characters and it was pretty sweet!
There really were some amazing artists out there, and I’m not quite sure which was my favourite! Probably the penguins of Madagascar!
I also got promoted to Pokemon master over the weekend 🙂
And I have finally finished one of my very long due wips, a lace doily from one of my grandma’s old crochet book.
And it’s perfect for my scented candles!
Blocking was super important, it gave my doily it’s nice shape 🙂
I hope you guys had a great weekend!
