Amigurumi design contest – Votes open!

Today, it’s all about Sandy and Wiley, remember them?

The voting for the amigurumi contest is now open, and it would mean the world to me if you could vote for my designs! As a bonus, everyone participating will also enter the draw to win yarn, how amazing is that?

I have also started working on the patterns for both, which I will release in the new year, and thought that you would like a sneak peak at my new design notebook.

I have plenty of ideas for 2018, so I’m very excited to use this notebook more! Stay tuned!

FO Friday – Sandy the Sea Dragon

Happy Friday lovely readers!

I’m sorry I have been MIA this last week, but my best friend has just landed in Australia and we’ve been having a blast so far! I have still found some crafting time, and I have finished my second design for the amigurumipatterns.net Fantasy Creature design contest. I am in love with this second design, and I hope that it is popular 😊 regardless though, I will be releasing the pattern in the new year, so watch this space!

You have probably also noticed, but I have finally designed a logo (it did take me a while! 😂) I’m pretty excited about that too, I think it looks quite nice if I dare say so myself ☺️

And the winner is…

Happy Friday crafters!

You probably remember my post from last week about the Brookfield show. It was the second year I went to the show and it was pretty awesome this year again! And, as I mentioned, it was my first year participating in the craft competition.

I really liked making my first Tea Cosy, but some of the ones out there were just plain amazing! So, I didn’t place in the competition BUT the organisers were great and so everyone got some green tea as a gift 🙂 How nice right?

The big surprise for me was that I actually got 3rd place for my lace doily! I was so happy with getting my ribbon, and the comments I got were so lovely!

So I got home very happy about how I did, and I didn’t realise I was missing something. Later that night, someone was at the door to see me. One of the ladies volunteering for the Brookfield show, holding a plastic wrap in her hands. I had actually forgotten to get my prize for placing 3rd in the Novice lacemaking!

I received two beautiful skeins of DMC Natura Just Cotton and I can’t wait to use them to make something beautiful, maybe for the next Brookfield show?

P.S. I would really love to thank the amazing volunteers at the Brookfield show for their great work and organisation and also this lovely lady who came all the way up our driveway (it’s super steep) to give me my prize, that was some real dedication!
