Happy Monday lovely readers!
This weekend I had some prime craft time while watching the Harry Potter movies 😊 I have been having yarn everywhere though lately and so I decided to make myself a new project bag to keep all my yarn in. I made it using calico and it’s actually pretty huge! I even put in a zipper and I was very please with how it turned out (excuse the wrinkledness, I still haven’t found my iron!)
You have probably noticed as well the red patch on the bag? Because the fabric is calico, I thought it would be cool to have a long term project to decorate the bag with cross stitch, and so I’ve made a start on this cute little star fish! I just love how tiny the stitches are and I’m sure it will look great once I’ve done more around it too.
And lastly, I just wanted to show you what’s currently in the bag! My Blurre shawl from Addydae Designs 😍 I love everything about this shawl and I can’t wait to finish it, hopefully before the 30th of June so that I can enter it in the CAL!
What have you guys been working on lately? Do you have project bags to keep your crafting area tidy(er)?
Yes I know this is unusual, but today I’m showing you a finished object! It’s not often that my husband asks for something handmade but recently he’s been asking me to make him a bag. More specifically a bag with 2 inside pockets. Big enough to carry his warhammer books. With only one handle. He knew what he wanted!
Now, I don’t have a huge amount of experience sewing bags, I’ve been sewing only for a couple of years and very irregularly. I have mostly made a few pieces of clothing and one bag, which I use to bring lunch with me at work. The inside part with two pockets was a bit of a nightmare to figure out but I did it!
It’s not perfect but it works so I’m happy 😂
And look, it would fit a few of those books! Husband was happy and that’s what matters 😊 I’m probably going to decorate it as well with some of the logos from the Games Workshop company, we will see if it works! I do need to iron it first though.
Have a great end of the week!
I finally finished my crochet clutch today.
As a bonus, it also perfectly fits my iPad 😊
I learnt a lot while doing this project, especially not to tighten my stitches too much!
Have a great week lovely people!
