I’m a bit late again with my update, I started a new summer job last week (as there are no uni classes over summer) and it’s been pretty hectic! I’ve done a few more pages on Clark’s quiet book, and I thought I could share my Pinterest inspiration board as well 😀
I hope that I’ll be able to get some actually quilting done for next update! We have some new members as well this time, welcome Bella and Daisy, and welcome back Connie!
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

This week I have a sewing project to share with you, which is a bit unusual! I’ve now packed the sewing machine (as it was in baby’s room) but it was great to use it for a last project before he comes along.
I made a very cute portable changing mat/ nappy bag for baby. This isn’t perfect by any means but I love it and it will be super practical, which is what matters. I followed a free pattern from So Sew Easy and it was actually quite easy to follow. The most trouble I had was sewing the binding on the main body, as I had to go through 2 layers of fabric, plus the batting in the middle. I was super proud of my pockets though!
And how cute are those fabrics? The inside is a quilting cotton and the outside is flannelette, which is nice and soft and very washable. It’s all padded so that baby will be comfortable while he gets changed, and hopefully it’ll be a practical solution for when we are not home.
On other baby news, he is so big that I will need to get induced in a couple of weeks if he hasn’t come yet. I’ll keep you posted!
Have a great weekend!
