Happy Friday everyone!
I have finished it! My first jumper of the year, and I’m so so in love with it! I’ve started the Arwen jumper (designed by Isabell Kraemer) at the end of April and I’m so pleased that I have finished it finally as the weather really is getting cool now. I have to say I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to wear it this year, as I thought my bump wouldn’t fit, but the loose fit of the jumper actually makes it perfectly fine to fit my expanding belly.
I really loved working on it, I think that the lace detail at the top is beautiful and I’m very happy with the softness of the yarn I used (called Fiddlesticks superb 4). It’s a machine washable acrylic too so it should make washing the jumper easy (which is great because the colour really is quite pale).
That was my achievement of the week, I hope you all had a great creative time and that you have a fabulous weekend (I know I’m looking forward to my last spinning class!)
That’s beautiful! It looks like a cross between lace and smocking. Really lovely, well done on your Friday Finish!

Wonderful Emma! You’ll be glad for that washable acrylic, babies have a way of turning us into klutzes, or stain magnets! That lace is just gorgeous!

haha yes that is what I was thinking! And I’m also pretty partial to just putting everything in the washing machine 😅

Wow–that turned out great! I’m not a knitter but the sweater almost makes me wish I was! And I think you’ll be very happy that you made it to be washable . . .

Definitely happy it’s washable 😅 I’m sure if you really want you could learn knitting, just don’t start with a scarf because they are never ending!

What a lovely jumper and , as others have said, I’m sure you’ll be glad you made it washable. I seem to remember having a muslin square permanently draped over my shoulder for the first few months of my daughters’ lives.

haha I think that might be me too! I’ll be sure to not wear all my lovely delicate crochet shawls and scarves (thankfully it will be spring so I won’t need them a lot)
