Happy Monday beautiful people!
I am very pleased today to show you my newest design idea, Cooper the Copepod! I got the idea for this little guy from one of my friends when I was back in Brisbane. We were in undergrad together and she suggested I made a copepod (we are all pretty nerdy and really enjoy plankton, weird I know!).
Anyway, this is what I came up with 🙂 You will notice that it is pretty similar to the design I drew last week as well.
I’m very happy with how he turned out, and I think I will ask for pattern testers when I get back from my second trip to Brisbane in April. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
How cool… Crochet plankton! Now you need a giant whale to eat it!

Yes that would be amazing! I could redo the pattern from 1dogwoof but with several strands held together to make it extra giant!

Oh please do it emma!! How giant would that become? Or maybe you could reverse things and make a teeny tiny whale so the copepod could get his own back! 😂

Oh my so many ideas! I was thinking about 2 to 3 times as big as the previous one (which was already quite big, probably around 30 cm length). I love the idea of making tiny amigurumi though, with cotton lace thread maybe 😀

Certainly the tiny one should be quicker to make!

Actually I think it would be the same because you would have the same number of stitches

Hmmmmm… I hadn’t thought of that!!

My inner biology nerd is jumping up and down yelling “me, me, pick me” 🙂 I know a couple of university pals that will laugh out loud when they see this – so many memories of study time together!

I have to admit it was pretty hard to guess! I will make a squid though, promise!
