Hand Quilt Along – 28/01/18

Happy Sunday everyone!
It is time again to share our progress in the hand quilt along hosted by Kathy. I actually made some progress this time, more than last for sure!
Here are my pictures, on the left from last time and on the right this time.
I am now expanding the piece towards the left side until I reach around 30″. I think the right side will stay as is until I finish the quilt top, and then I’ll trim it to be a rectangle before quilting and binding it. Phew! Lots left to do but there is progress so it’s encouraging!
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
Here are the others participating in this HQAL, please go check their posts!

    • Had that in mind. The contrast of blues with the bits of floral is really a nice effect.😍

      • I was reading your previous comment and thought you might have left another one! Thanks Kathy, I think that it is getting better and better with each bit I add. My goal for next time is to have at least the right width and then work from there 😊

  9. It’s looking great! I’m not sure I would have the patience for hand piecing a quilt, but I love watching your progress!

  10. That was quite a bit added, especially if one considers the other things you are doing in your life … like a PhD!

    • Thanks Susan, it is unfortunate that PhDs take away from crafting time! I think the slow paced sewing and knitting had kept me sane during the three years though so I’m quite grateful!
