Hand Quilt Along – 07/01/18

Happy Sunday readers!
It is time again to share my progress on my English Paper Piecing for the Hand Quilt Along hosted by Kathy every three weeks.
Due to Christmas and New Year (and my family being here) I actually didn’t get much progress this time

I did however, cover a lot of my templates with fabric, which does take quite a long time. This will have to do for progress this time!

I hope you guys had time to work a bit more of your HQAL than what I did!

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
Here are the others participating in this HQAL, please go check their posts!

  1. I found it difficult to make a lot of progress in this past three weeks, too! We just keep chipping away at things–carry on!

Holidays tend to take over, don’t they? Time with family is important. Every little bit is progress. Can’t wait to see where these take you.

  4. You are now prepped for a very productive three weeks, so that is great progress, Emma! I figure that anything we get done in December is fabulous, because there so much else going on!

    • So true Kathy! And yes I’m totally prepared 😊 I think one of the problems now is that all the progress I make will be less noticeable as the quilt top grows but it’s awesome that I get to share every three weeks, it will help me see my progress more easily 😊

And you did progress ! Those little pieces already to be pieces are lovely.

    • Thanks Deb 😊 yes I find it much easier to make lots of those and then to add them to the main quilt top. I think I’ve reached a size where I’ll need to assemble some of those separately before adding them as it’s starting to feel like a lot of fabric on my lap as I assemble

I’m impressed you got anything done with family around! They always seem to derail me!🤣

That all takes time, and the covering is a necessary part before you can stitch. Looks good to me! I also like the Wisp I saw in the post above this. Cutie!
