WIP Wednesday – Christmoose

Happy Wednesday beautiful readers!

I hope that this last week before Christmas isn’t too crazy and that you are all getting into holiday mode. I have my last week of work before the holidays now and it’s been quite hard to stay focused when all I want to do is bake and craft!

You probably remember a few weeks back I participated in the Fantastic Creature Amigurumi design contest from amigurumipatterns.net. I wanted to say a very warm thank you to everyone who voted for me, it was my first participation and seriously it was awesome!

Wiley and Sandy did pretty good too, I was very excited to get over 500 votes with Sandy, it was really a great experience and I can’t wait for next year’s contest!

I did not win the contest (the first person had over 2000 votes for her design!) but I’m really happy with how I did and all the participants earned a place in the December ami-along hosted on amigurumipatterns.net. Which brings me to today’s WIP: meet my Christmoose! He is Sabrina Somers design for the December ami-along and he is adorable!

He tuned out so cute! I’m very excited to add the finishing touches: baubles in sparkly yarn! ✨

Are you currently participating in an Ami-along or have you participated before? I’d love to know!

One of my goals for 2018 is to join in a crochet-a-long, they always look like so much fun!

there were hundreds of lovely designs in the contest, and I think you should be very proud of the number of votes Wily and Sandy got!

    Omg that’s adorable (and punny!)
I thought it was a bit luck of the draw to where your entry was on the page. I’m sure most people used their ten votes before they even got halfway down unless they were there to vote for a specific thing. I absolutely love both your entries.

    • I agree, it took me a long time to find Emma’s entries.

    • Thanks Jess, I loved the idea of this moose and the pun just made me laugh when I saw it so I have to join the ami-along and make him! And yes I agree there were so many entries that it really was a bit of luck involved as to where the picture was placed. But I’ll take it, I’m so proud either way and it was a great experience!

You actually make it appear so easy together with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually one thing which I believe I might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and very vast for me. I am looking ahead in your subsequent publish, I’ll attempt to get the grasp of it!

    • Oh that’s not good, you were not able to make him from the pattern? Maybe you could try youtube videos, there are some really good tutorial ones

I am no longer sure where you are getting your information, however great topic. I must spend a while finding out much more or working out more. Thanks for great information I used to be on the lookout for this information for my mission.
