WIP Wednesday – Two socks at the same time!

Happy Wednesday readers!

Like I said on Monday, I’ve already cast on another pair of socks. Those will be plain vanilla socks but will be worked slightly differently than what I’m used to. So far I have only made socks from the top down, but this time I’m doing them from the toes up andΒ I’m also making two at the same time! For that, I’m using the pattern from Heidi Bears website, it’s really good and has great pictures to illustrate the instructions!

You may notice I’m using Aquagirl once again, those are the leftovers from the socks I made for my friend Tracy. I actually was showing the yarn to my mum over Skype and she absolutely loved the colours, I can’t really blame her, this colourway is amazing! Mum really likes short socks and I had enough yarn so I decided to make her a pair and gift them to her when I go back to visit my family in September 😊

I’ve finished the toes already and I’m working my way through the foot. I’ve really been liking this technique so far, it will be really cool to have finished both socks at the same time too!

In other news I received this beautiful bouquet of flowers today, isn’t my husband just so sweet? They look like little suns and they really did brighten my day β˜€οΈ

  1. I’m jealous that you can make 2 socks at the same time. I wish there was a way to do this while crocheting! Looking good so far 😁

  4. I have a book that teaches this technique but I haven’t attempted it yet! I love the colour of your yarn, especially the speckled look it gives the socks.

  5. That is a gorgeous colorway! I’m just starting to play around with knitting but I do want to try a pair of socks really bad. That may be a good pattern to start with, thank you!

    • Thanks! The yarn is from a local indie dyer, she is really amazing and her yarn is so gorgeous 😊 I think that would be a pretty good pattern, it’s plain knitting, the only tricky part is the magic loop but you do get used to it

  6. I have heard about this technique but was scared to try it out myself yet. I am bad at doing two things at the same time πŸ™‚
